Mohammed Buhaza fulfilled his dream of fighting MMA in the most exciting way possible. A fan of the sport, the 19-year-old boy, who has Down Syndrome, challenged Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, patron of the Brave Combat Federation, amateur fighter and prince of Bahrain. The two “faced off” in a lively sparring session at the opening ceremony of International Combat Week, the biggest combat sports festival in Asia, which will culminate in Brave 18, next Friday (16). The result? Buhaza's victory, by “submission”.

The two entered the Brave cage amid the support and applause of dignitaries, influencers and celebrities from the Kingdom of Bahrain, who were moved by Buhaza's tears when he was declared the winner of the contest.

In recent months, Mohammed began training at KHK MMA, Bahrain's main MMA team, and was included in the team's official activities. He will be present throughout the week at the amateur MMA world championship to help the Bahraini team and will also watch Brave 18 up close, which will have three title fights including the Brazilians lucas mineiro (lightweight), Felipe Efrain (cock) and Marcel Adur (fly).

The ceremony was also marked by the start of the amateur MMA world championship, organized together with IMMAF (International MMA Federation) and the launch of KHK Heroes, an initiative that seeks to strengthen the social commitment of KHK MMA and Brave with less fortunate people and those with disabilities. of any nature.
