In the flyweight elite (up to 56,7kg.) of the largest MMA organization in the world, Matheus Nicolau had postponed his dream of competing for the category title. In the main fight of this Saturday's event (27), the Brazilian succumbed to the power of Alex Perez and ended up the victim of a hard knockout in the Octagon. With a precise blow, the miner 'blacked out' and went to the canvas in the second round.
The result should remove Nicolau from the top 5 in the division led by Alexandre pantoja. Before the clash, the athlete defended fifth place in the group.

Brazilian off
The fight started with Perez taking the initiative by throwing a front kick. The miner saved his attacks and avoided entering the opponent's range of action. In the second round, Matheus started to loosen up. The Brazilian scored with jabs and straight shots and forced his opponent to walk backwards. After almost two minutes, Nicolau shook his head after receiving a clean cross to the face. Perez took advantage of the good moment and attacked the miner. Afterwards, the Brazilian 'blacked out', after a precise blow to the chin.
