Karine Silva wins technical fight against Ariane da Silva at UFC Las Vegas 91 and continues her rise in flyweight

Flyweight promise (up to 56,7kg.), Karina Silva got the better of the Brazilian confrontation against Ariane da Silva. Featured in UFC Las Vegas 91, held this Saturday (27), the fighter went through a confrontation marked by technique and was superior to her rival. After three rounds, the athlete was declared the winner in a unanimous decision.

The triumph represents an important step for Karine in the division led by Alexa grasso. In addition to maintaining her unbeaten record in the organization, the Curitiba native is getting closer to a place in the top 10.

Karine later managed to escape and got to her feet. Almost at the end of the stage, a high kick from Karine shook Ariane. Again, Karine took her compatriot to the ground and tried for the submission.

The last round began with the athletes measuring strength in the center of the octagon. Karine came to blows after a direct shot from her rival, but recovered afterwards. Halfway through the stage, Karine started to press her opponent against the bars, but Ariane managed to get away. In the final stretch of the fight, it was Ariane's turn to put pressure on the bars. Almost at the end of the fight, Karine managed a providential takedown. Ariane managed to stay on her feet, but was knocked down again. Karine managed the result until the clash ended.
