Former UFC champion Michael Bisping admits leaving retirement to face old rival

Former middleweight champion, Bisping was ready for a trilogy with Luke Rockhold in Karate Combat

With the gloves hanging up for almost seven years, Michael Bisping admitted the possibility of returning from retirement to resolve unfinished business with an old rival: Luke Rockhold.

During a recent episode of his podcast 'Belive You Me', the former UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) revealed that, after watching the debut of Luke Rockhold in Karate Combat, he feels ready to return to action to face his rival in a fight in the organization.

"Luke Rockhold against Joe Schilling. I was doing a live stream for this fight and everyone was saying I need to do the trilogy. I would do a Karate Combat fight against Luke Rockhold. I would do. I will have a trilogy against Luke Rockhold in Karate Combat. I would love it”, assured the Brit.

Michael Bisping e Luke Rockhold They faced each other twice in the UFC Octagon. The first duel took place in November 2014 and ended in a submission victory for the North American, who the following year would become middleweight champion.

Rockhold's first title defense was in a rematch against Bisping, who staged one of the biggest 'zebras' in MMA history by knocking out the then champion in the first round and winning the title at UFC 199, in June 2016.
