Current UFC heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic welcomed with open arms the possibility of one day facing Jon Jones inside the octagon. The American of Croatian descent insisted that he has no preferences about his next opponent, so a fight with Jones will be in his plans if that is what Ultimate wants.

Miocic won the heavyweight belt in May, when he knocked out Fabricio Werdum. Last Saturday (10), he made his first successful defense by knocking out alistair overeem, Jones' training partner, still in the first round. Miocic's performance earned praise from Jones, who stated that a duel between them would represent “the biggest challenge of his life”.

In an interview with the North American website “TMZ”, Miocic accepted the duel. “I’ll fight anyone. He's a great guy, we've talked before and he's always been nice to me. But now I'm not worried about that. I want to rest, enjoy time with my wife. Like I said, I'll fight anyone. If you want me to face Jon, I'll fight him or anyone you want – [Cain] Velasquez, [Júnior] Cigano or Werdum. I don't call. But now I want to rest a little. I’m tired,” said the champion.

Miocic has already had three fights in 2016, with three wins by knockout in the first round. In addition to beating Werdum and Overeem, the American also defeated Andrei Arlovski at UFC 195, in January, with less than a minute of combat.
