In your profile on Instagram, the athlete recalled the recovery process from the serious injury that forced him to give up the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.) at the beginning of 2023.
“The adversity I've had to face over the last nine months would have broken most fighters, but all I know is to keep going. Remember what happened before and I will turn things around again,” wrote Hill, who shared images of the recovery process from his Achilles injury.

After more than a year of inactivity, Jamahal accepted the challenge of sharing the octagon with Poatan. After provoking the champion, the North American had no chance in the confrontation and ended up brutalized in the first round.
Even with the hard setback, Hill ruled out remaining inactive. Days later, the athlete was confirmed as an opponent for Khalil rountree for confrontation in UFC 303.
