Blood in the eye: Alex Poatan excites fans and simulates contract for 'surprise fight' at UFC 301, this Saturday

Brazilian MMA star, Alex Poatán decided to test the fans' hearts. Guest of honor at UFC 301, which takes place this Saturday (4), in Rio de Janeiro, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.) joked about the chance of having a 'surprise fight' over the weekend. On social media, the athlete simulated signing a contract, participated in a photo shoot and even ignored a foot injury, suggesting he was willing to put a stop to the commitment.

In the images (see below), it is possible to follow the moment when Alex even asks to wear the personalized shorts used in UFC 300. The athlete also tried on gloves, a traditional action carried out on the eve of each card.

Poatan's desire to perform in Rio de Janeiro is no surprise. Close to face Jamahal hill, last month, the champion did not hide his desire to promote a 'lightning return' to the Octagon.

A foot injury, however, thwarted the Brazilian's plans. So far, the fighter has no date or opponent for his next challenge in the company.
