Recovering from knee surgery, Wanderlei Silva was one of the guests to promote UFC Fight Night 22, an event that took place on the 15th, in Texas. The Brazilian published a video on his official website showing behind the scenes of the event with weigh-ins, promotional visits and an unusual conversation with Chael Sonnen. On the occasion, when the two fighters were heading to promote the show, Wanderlei stated that the North American should measure his provocations before the fight, referring to Sonnen's controversial statements before the fight against Anderson Silva at UFC-117.
“I think you can make a challenge, talk about the fight, promote, that's fine, but you have to be careful with what you say about Brazil. You keep saying bad things about Brazil... You don't know Brazil. You have to respect what you don't know. I heard you talking about the Nogueira brothers. These guys are the history of the sport. You have to respect them. Promote one-on-one. Don't do that anymore, it's dangerous. In Brazil we have a saying: those who respect don’t lose their teeth”, said Wand. Check out the full video below:
