Again Wanderlei Silva will have to wait to see the definitive resolution of his disputes with the Nevada Athletic Commission. In a hearing held this Monday (30), the North American entity decided to postpone the decision regarding the case until next month, in a new meeting on December 17.

Wanderlei Silva was banned for life by the Nevada Commission for refusing to take a surprise anti-doping test in May last year, before the fight he would have with Chael Sonnen at UFC 175. Since then, the Brazilian's lawyer has been trying to reverse the decision, claiming that the lifetime ban was an excessively strict punishment.
The Nevada Court agreed with Wanderlei's defense arguments and asked for the Brazilian's case to be reviewed by the Athletic Commission. At this week's hearing, Ross Goodman, the fighter's lawyer, filed a request for a consent order, an agreement between the parties without an admission of guilt. Therefore, the Commission postponed the decision until next month precisely to have more time to analyze the request.
At 39 years of age, Wanderlei Silva made history in Japan last decade when he was the dominant champion of the now-defunct PRIDE event. Afterwards, he moved to the UFC, where he beat names like Keith Jardine, Michael Bisping and Brian Stann.
