Alex Poatán once again commented on the recent 'friendship' between Jamahal hill e Israel adesanya, started weeks before the UFC 300. In conversation with journalists in Rio de Janeiro, home of UFC 301, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) provoked his latest tormentor by saying that he would have brought out his 'worst side' if he had trained with the Nigerian for the duel on April 13th.

“Jamahal (Hill) is smart. Because if he had gone there to actually train with Adesanya, they would have canceled my fight… He's lucky he just went to learn. If he had trained with Adesanya, it would have made me crazy about the fight,” said Poatan.

In history UFC 300, held on April 13th, Poatan knocked out Jamahal hill in the first round and successfully defended the light heavyweight belt for the first time. Now, the Brazilian idol is waiting for the organization to announce the day and location of his next fight.

Adesanya hasn't stepped into the Octagon since September 2023 when he was dominated by Sean Strickland and lost the middleweight belt for the second time. Although the information has not been officially confirmed by the organization yet, the Nigerian must face the current champion Dricus Du Plessis on the 17th of August at the UFC 305.
