In an interview with the “UFC Unfiltered” podcast, the Lioness didn’t miss the opportunity to provoke her rival. She recalled that Cyborg initially ruled out a fight between them, as Amanda asked for about a year to prepare for the weight gain. Now, she says she can ask for two years to meet again.
“Cyborg didn't want to fight me because it took me more than a year to prepare, and now I don't think she'll want (the rematch) because I'm going to ask for two years to be ready for her again. She said I wanted a year to be ready for her and she didn't want to wait that long, she doesn't want to go without fighting, but now I'm asking for two years for the rematch,” said Amanda.
The champion revealed that she will return to bantamweight to defend her belt and only then will she think about returning to the featherweight division.
“Yes, I will defend my belt, my original belt. I'm definitely going to go down and defend my belt. My division is waiting for me and we'll see what happens next, but I don't think Cyborg wants to wait for two years,” he concluded.
