With the victory, the Bahian woman won the featherweight title and made MMA history by becoming the first woman to win two belts simultaneously. With the achievement, Amanda joined the select group of athletes to be two-time Ultimate champions, along with Conor McGregor e Daniel Cormier. Neither fighter managed to defend both belts and had their titles stripped. Lambert believes that Nunes will be the first athlete to defend and maintain her reign.

“I know in some divisions they have – it’s impossible to be a two-time champion. As Daniel Cormier defend the title against the best in the world at heavyweight and the best in the world at heavyweight at the same time? It's kind of impossible. But not so much in the – I mean, obviously, the women's featherweight division doesn't even have rankings. How many female fighters do they have there? So it is possible for her (Amanda nunes) keep both belts,” said Dan.

For Amanda to keep her titles, Ultimate has to have the desire to hold matches. The business must generate financial gain and have public interest. Lambert believes that the UFC should keep the belts with Amanda and 'marry' the clashes, as the Brazilian has established herself as one of the stars of the franchise.

PUBLICITY:

“The noise I heard as she ran in that octagon with those two belts, the arena went crazy. I think the UFC will help her. She improves with every fight she has. I believe Amanda will be a dominant champion in both divisions, and people like dominance. Fans like dominant fighters, and I would love to see that,” concluded Lambert.
