Chuck Liddell returns to MMA in 2018 and wants to fight Jon Jones

The 49-year-old American will come out of retirement and wants to fight: Jon Jones, Tito Ortiz, Chael Sonnen and Fedor Emelianenko

One of MMA's legends has come out of retirement and will return to the octagon, Chuck 'The Iceman' Liddell. The former light heavyweight champion stated in an interview with the 'MMA Hour' program on Monday (14) that he should fight in 2018.

Liddell is preparing himself physically to reach high performance in November of this year when he turns 49 years old. The American fighter is negotiating options for a possible return. The opponent in Liddell's sights is a former light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones.

“Yes, I will fight again. To be honest, I'd like to do a couple of warm-up fights, and then I'll ask for a fight against Jon Jones. And I'm serious. I would like a fight against him,” she stated.

The Iceman confessed that he could face Bellator's contacts: Chael Sonnen e Fedor Emelianenko. “I wouldn’t mind fighting Chael [Sonnen]. It's a good style for me and he has a big mouth. He would promote the fight well. […] If I didn’t think I could fight, I wouldn’t go,” he concluded.

Chuck Liddell in 2005 won the UFC light heavyweight belt by knocking out Randy Couture. The North American made four title defenses, until in 2007 he was defeated by Quinton Rampage Jackson.
