Away from the octagon since April this year and provisionally suspended after being caught in an anti-doping test in July, Jon Jones was surprised and submitted by a young girl during an amateur submission event (no-gi grappling). The event was held last weekend, in Phoenix, United States.
Jones participated as a guest athlete and, initially, was only present for a photo session and autograph, however, he was invited to do some demonstrative fights. He went on to win his first two fights, but succumbed to the young woman in his third fight when he fell into an armbar. The mild and joking tone was evident, as was Jon's “soft body”, but it will certainly make a mark on the life of the young opponent, who demonstrated good technique on the ground.
