UFC women's bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate will be the special guest of Nascar, the North American Stock Car, for the Michigan stage. The fighter will act as honorary commissioner of the event, which takes place on June 12th.

Miesha will closely watch the Sprint Cup race, the main division of the category, and will give the traditional order for the drivers to start their engines shortly before the start. The president of the circuit, Roger Curtis, celebrated the athlete's presence.

Currently, Miesha Tate is preparing for her first UFC belt defense, which will take place on July 9th, against the Brazilian Amanda nunes. She won the belt in March, when she submitted Holly holm in dramatic fashion at UFC 196.
