Earlier in the week, Daniel Cormier presented to the world his new “toy” for training ahead of UFC 200, in July: a punching bag with the photo of his opponent, Jon Jones, printed. Jones took the opportunity to provoke Cormier back, stating that he is already in his rival's head.

In a post on his Instagram account, Jones criticized the linear champion's attitude, even saying that his belt is not the real one in the category. “It's good to see you're enjoying your final days as paper champion, Daniel. I was planning on leaving you alone so you could enjoy it with your family, but then you put this weird shit on the internet. It's obvious that I'm in your head right now, but you can stop it, you coward. You're going to get your ass kicked soon, and I hope that's not your tactic for UFC 200. See you soon, buddy. Train smart. You don't need to leave the fight again. Signed: The True Light Heavyweight Champion,” he wrote.
Jones and Cormier have already faced each other once, in January 2015. On that occasion, Jones, then linear champion of the category, won the duel by decision of the judges. After that, “Bones” got involved in extra-octagon problems and had his belt taken away, and Cormier won the vacant title.
Currently, Cormier is the lineal champion and has already defended his title against Alexander Gustafson, in October last year. Jones returned to the UFC with a victory in April, beating Ovince St Preux and winning the light heavyweight belt. The rematch between Cormier and Jones will be the main fight of UFC 200, on July 9th.
