The UFC has already defined who will be the next challenger for the welterweight belt, currently owned by Robbie Lawler. According to an article made by the North American website “Bleacher Report”, Carlos Condit will try to win the title in the 77 kg division later this year.

According to the text, the fight would take place in December, probably at UFC 194, on the 5th. The fight night would feature another important fight between the welterweights, with John hendricks facing up Tyron woodley to possibly decide who would be next in line to face the champion.

Lawler won the belt in December last year, defeating Hendricks via judges' decision. He defended the title once, in July, when he beat Rory McDonald in an electrifying fight at UFC 189. Condit, in turn, fought in May, winning Thiago Pitbull by technical knockout in Goiânia.
