Retired from MMA after being caught in a surprise drug test before UFC 175, Chael Sonnen could return to active duty much sooner than anyone imagined. In recent days, there has been speculation about a fight between the North American and Brazilian André Galvão at the Metamoris 4 jiu-jitsu event, scheduled for August.

Rumors that Chael would face Galvão at Metamoris emerged on social media, first publicized by the “Front Row Brian” profile (a well-known MMA information Twitter with no links to any major media outlet), and quickly spread throughout the international press. Despite all the excitement, there was no confirmation from the event or from Sonnen himself.
