Last Sunday (15), Father's Day was celebrated in the United States and in some other countries around the world. At his Las Vegas residence, Wanderlei Silva celebrated the date by honoring his son Thor Silva in the jiu-jitsu tournament and submission “NAGA.” Through his social media profile, Wand took the opportunity to play the “owl father” and share images of his son’s achievement in the competition.

"I love my son! One day my friends will have the opportunity to support Thor 'The Thunder' Silva”, wrote “Crazy Dog” along with the video, taking the opportunity to give him a very suggestive nickname (since Thor, in Norse mythology, is the god of thunder – or “thunder”, in English). Wand also took the opportunity to leave a message of affection for his son and reveal that the family is already planning the young man's future as a fighter.

At 37, Wanderlei Silva has a record of 35 wins, 12 losses, one draw and one unsuccessful fight. The “Crazy Dog” was a coach on TUF Brasil 3 alongside Chael Sonnen and would face the North American on July 5th, at UFC 175. However, the Brazilian ended up being cut from the event for refusing to take a surprise drug test. Days later, it was Chael's turn to leave the fight after being caught with illegal substances in a test. This Tuesday (17), Wand and Sonnen will attend a hearing at the Nevada Athletic Commission in which any sanctions imposed by the entity will be defined.
