The fight involving Chael Sonnen and André Dida on TUF Brasil 3 won a final chapter this week. The North American, who was attacked from behind during the recording of the program, revealed that the assistant coach of Wanderlei Silva on the reality show contacted him to apologize. In an interview with SUPER FIGHTS, Sonnen said that he received an apology from Dida, forgave the rival coach for the deed and that he now intends to move on.

“The guy who hit me from behind, André Dida, he sent me an apology, I accepted his apology. Dida received a lot of criticism (for what she did). But I would like to remind people: this is how it works! If you do something bad, you are punished. But then it all ends. You know how it is? You can't stand outside a prison throwing rocks at guys as soon as they're released. André Dida did something bad, he was punished. That's it, it's over. If I saw Dida now, maybe I would greet him, maybe I would walk right by, but either way, it's over. I accepted his apology and I hope everyone forgives him too”, said the North American, at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium, in São Paulo (SP).

The confusion during the recordings of TUF Brasil 3 culminated in André Dida being excluded from the reality show. During the videoconference called after the fight between Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva, and also Dida's aggression, UFC president Dana White even stated that he believed that the muay thai trainer should be arrested for his involvement in the incident.
