Video: Wand explains confusion with anti-doping and warns: 'I'll do anything to make the fight against Sonnen happen'

Through his YouTube channel, Wanderlei Silva said that he did not understand the request from the member of the Athletic Commission and does not rule out a fight with Sonnen

Wanderlei-SilvaName Wanderlei Silva took over the news this Friday (30). After the Brazilian stayed out of the fight against Chael Sonnen, for not carrying out a surprise anti-doping test, UFC president, Dana White, even announced Wand's dismissal from the organization. However, he later backtracked saying that was misinterpreted. Now, the fighter has released a video saying that he did not submit to the tests due to a disagreement.

Wand said that, when approached by an unidentified man at his gym, he just didn't want to sign a document because he didn't speak English, even though he had lived in the country for years. The fighter used his history of never having been caught in a drug test in more than 50 fights and revealed that he will approach the Nevada Athletic Commission next week. He still hasn't ruled out returning to the UFC 175 card, even though he was replaced by Vitor belfort, and face Chael Sonnen.

“As soon as I return from the TUF Brazil final I will look for the Athletic Commission and take all the exams they want. If this fight doesn't happen it will be very difficult for me. I'm investing a lot of time to make this fight happen. I'm training like I've never trained in my life. I’m going to do everything I can to make this fight happen,” he said. Wanderlei Silva.
