One of the most anticipated moments of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3, which culminated in a fight between the technicians Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen, begins to gain more details. Without mentioning names, in an interview with the Canadian TV program “Off the Record”, Sonnen himself revealed that the fighter who attacked him shortly after he and Wanderlei came to blows ended up summarily expelled from the program.
“I'm not sure of the name, I've never met this gentleman. I never met him, and after everything that happened he was kicked out of the program. You know, and quoting Dana White himself... Dana White told me he should have been arrested. Plus, I didn't know him. I’m not sure,” Chael said.
Before the premiere of TUF Brasil 3 on TV, the UFC had already released a promotional video in which some moments of the argument between Chael and Wand and the beginning of the confusion between them appear, with the Brazilian trying to punch him and being grabbed in followed. In the only episode ever shown of the program, only half of the qualifying fights of the reality show tournament were shown.
