Amanda lemos achieved the most important victory of his career in UFC Las Vegas 64, event held this Saturday (5). The Brazilian, who arrived as a 'zebra' in the main fight, had an impeccable performance and knocked out Marina Rodriguez in the third round. With the result, she asked to be a 'reserve fighter' for the dispute between Carla esparza e Weili Zhang through the straw belt (up to 52,1kg.).
Lemos achieved his second victory in a row and now has a record of 12 triumphs and two setbacks, as well as a draw. She is seventh in the rankings, but should move up in the next update.

The fight
The two fighters started the round with a lot of study. Amanda tried to control the center of the cage, while Marina rotated in the octagon. Rodriguez applied the first kick to the waistline, leaving him in his opponent's guard. Lemos responded in kind, with a quick dodge and direct shots at his compatriot's face. With an advantage in the round, Amanda came in with round and waist kicks and hurt her rival. Lemos applied the takedown in the final straight, but Rodriguez reversed the position and even tried – unsuccessfully – a guillotine choke.
Unlike the first round, Marina already marked her opponent with a front kick. In response, Amanda counterattacked with a right cross and got close with a takedown. She transitioned to the back and looked for a rear naked choke, but saw Rodriguez make the save.
