UFC star, Conor McGregor prepares to make his acting debut. The fighter, who is still recovering from an injury after breaking his left leg, will participate in the remake of the film 'Road House', known and popularized in the 80s under the name 'Matador de Aluguel' in Brazil. The news was announced by the producer Amazon Prime Video.
"Conor McGregor is very excited to expand his career to Hollywood and join Jake Gyllenhaal in this reimagining of 'Road House,' a beloved classic. While fighting remains his main focus, this is the beginning of another successful venture in the McGregor empire. He’s eager to start filming,” the fighter’s publicist wrote.
Details about his participation, which features American actor Jake Gyllenhaal as the 'main star' of the feature film, have not yet been released. Recording, however, should begin in August.

Popular in the 1980s, the film 'Matador de Aluguel' tells the story of a man who works security at a roadside bar and, later, starts working to protect a city.
At 33 years old, McGregor is not going through a good moment in his MMA career. The 'Notorious' was defeated in three of his last four fights in the company and in his last fight, in July 2021, against Dustin Porier, the Irishman suffered a serious fracture that has left him out of the sport since then. An MMA professional since 2008, Conor has a record of 22 triumphs and six setbacks.
