Wanderlei Silva believes that his next UFC rival, Chael Sonnen, will suffer the worst in the confrontation against Rashad evans, this Saturday, in the 167th edition of the event.
Chosen to be one of the coaches of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 alongside the American, Wanderlei admits that he prefers to face Sonnen coming off a positive result. “I would like to catch Sonnen coming off a victory, but as I'm not a guy who discriminates against anyone, I'll fight with him whether he wins or loses. He’s going to get kicked by Rashad and kicked by me, so he’ll get hit by both”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with the website ESPN.com.br.
“They are both good at wrestling, they have similar boxing, but I think Rashad is physically stronger and will be able to land punches and stay on top. Sonnen is that thing, he's a lion when he's hitting, but when he takes one or two...”, assessed Wanderlei.
The PRIDE star revealed that he was invited to fight this Saturday, at the event that marks the UFC's 20th anniversary. “I was invited to fight at this event, but unfortunately I couldn't, as I wouldn't have been well prepared. That's why I was cast in TUF Brazil and the fight became even more interesting”, he said.
