The signs that the fight is close to being confirmed don't stop there. On Tuesday night (20), Vitor's wife and businesswoman, Joana Prado, published a suggestive message on her official profile on Twitter. “Happy!!! Good news is coming!!!!”, he wrote, without mentioning, however, the content of the news to be announced.
If made official, the confrontation will mark the rematch of a fight already held at PRIDE in 2006. At the time, in one of the last fights of the now defunct organization, the North American won by unanimous decision from the judges. The fight was Vitor's last in the Japanese event and the penultimate for Hendo, who months later would still fight against Wanderlei Silva to win the middleweight belt.
Vitor belfort, 36 years old, has a record of 23 wins and ten losses as a professional. The “Phenomenon”, as he is known, comes from two consecutive victories, over Michael Bisping e Luke Rockhold. As a middleweight, the Brazilian has not lost since his defeat to Anderson Silva, in the fight for the category belt, in 2011. During this period, Vitor ended up defeated by Jon Jones, in a fight valid for the light heavyweight title, in September of last year.
