A standout North American at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Gable Steveson still doesn't know what the next step in his career will be, but wants to analyze all the possibilities. Gold medalist in wrestling, in the heavyweight division, the athlete sent a message directed to Dana White and admitted his interest in testing himself in MMA. In an interview with 'MMA fighting', the champion spoke about the possibility.

“What’s next for Gable Steveson, I don’t know yet. I am open to all options. I will explore every possibility I can, put my name on every table and make sure my name is well seen and will influence the company”, said the fighter.

At the top of wrestling in the heavyweight division, Seteveson then commented on the message directed to Dana White, president of Ultimate. Certain that the agent saw the attack made on the Twitter, Gable spoke admiringly about Ultimate.

“I’m definitely a fight fan. Who wouldn't want to be the most 'thick-skinned' guy on the planet? Who wouldn't want to hold a UFC belt? I have the Olympic medal. I'm the most 'thick-skinned' wrestler on the planet. Why not go there and become the biggest UFC heavyweight?” he asked.

Even praising Ultimate, the company chaired by White is not the only possibility for Steveson. Willing to test himself, the gold medalist does not rule out taking another path.

“There are lots of places to go. I don't know what will happen next. WWE, UFC, football, going back to college. Who knows? In the end, the best decision will be made by my family”, he concluded.

Former Bellator and ONE Championship champion, Ben Askren bets that the heavyweight has enough talent to perform in MMA at a high level soon. Noticing the compliment, Steveson echoed the veteran's statement.

“I saw Ben Askren's post and I believe it too. I believe that, with my wrestling skills, and improving some striking techniques, I can be champion in less than 18 months. I can dominate the heavyweight field in my own way”, he concluded.

Born in 2000, Gable, 21, has a successful career in wrestling. If he decides to join Ultimate, the fighter will face competition from names like Francis Ngannou e Cyryl Gane, current champions in the 120,2kg division. – linear and interim, respectively.
