MMA legend from Pará, Deiveson Figueiredo was immortalized in his hometown. Former UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), the 'God of War' was honored with a life-size statue in Soure. On social media, the Brazilian thanked the city hall and posed next to the sculpture.

With his name among the elite of Brazilian MMA, Figueiredo, today, fights to regain his status as flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg). In 2020, the team from Pará had a historic season, winning the title, and ending the year with a real battle against Brandon Moreno, in December, which ended in a draw.
In the rematch, in June, the Tupiniquim ended up not performing as expected and was submitted in the third round. After the setback, Deiveson and his team suggested an immediate rematch, but there is still no confirmation whether the request will be granted.
