Claressa Shields returns to the PFL cage in an event with six tournament finals in October

Multi-time world boxing champion will face Mexican Abigail Montes in her second fight in professional MMA

Claressa shields He already has a confirmed date for his second fight in professional MMA. This Thursday (12), the PFL announced that the multi-time world boxing champion will return to the organization's cage on October 27, against Abigail Montes.

The event on October 27th will be held in Hollywood (USA) and will crown the six new PFL tournament champions, with prizes of 1 million dollars (approximately R$5,2 million) for the winner of each category.

Two-time Olympic champion and world boxing champion in three categories, Claressa shields seeks his second victory in professional MMA. The boxer debuted in the organization in June this year, at PFL 4, when she went through trouble on the ground before achieving victory via technical knockout in the third round against Brittney Elkin.

Shields' opponent on the 27th, Abigail Montes will make his debut in the PFL cage. At 21 years old, the Mexican won the two fights she had in her career, defeating Claudia Zamora in 2019 for Cobate Americas and Teresita Lopez Plata in April this year for the Ikon Fighting Federation.
