“I was giving a post-fight interview, someone called me and the guy looked like he was Dana White's security guard. In the middle of the interview he stopped and said that Dana wanted to see me. He took me out of the interview and took me to Dana White's office. When I got there, he was waiting for me to congratulate me, he said that I spoke English very well, that I had the heart of a lion, that I was losing and I turned the fight around. He told me that I had a great chance of winning the night's bonus. That I needed to see the fights but I had a great chance.”, said Zé Colméia in an interview with 'Combate'.

The chances of winning the night's bonus were confirmed and the Brazilian fighter took home US$50 (around 255). With the money in his pocket, the Tupiniquim athlete spoke to the 'boss' about his plans for the 'jackpot'.

“I will pay my debts and invest in myself. I need to be smart so the money doesn't run out, so for a guy who earned 500 reais a month teaching in my garage, earning US$50 was huge. It's unbelievable. I told him (Dana White) that I was happy to have won the fight, to be part of the event and I said that I was trying my best to speak English because I knew the show was for the fans too. He said that I was to be congratulated, that my English was good, so I could continue learning”, concluded Rodrigo.
