With five Brazilians in action, PFL announces tournament semi-final brackets

This Tuesday (20), the Professional Fighters League announced the semifinal clashes of the tournaments in all six weight categories. The competitions will be divided into three events scheduled for the 13th, 19th and 27th of August.

On August 13th, the PFL will promote the welterweight (up to 77 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) tournaments. In the main fight of the night, Rory McDonald face Ray Cooper III in a highly anticipated welterweight duel.

The other semifinal of the under-77 kg division will be between Brazilian João Zeferino, who won his last five fights in the organization, and Russian Magomed Magomedkerimov, undefeated in the PFL with nine consecutive victories.

On the same night, the Brazilian Raush Manfio faces Clay Collard in the lightweight semifinal. The “War Horse” is coming off a victory over the former UFC champion, Anthony Pettis. In the other semi up to 70,3 kg, Loik Radzhabov has the opportunity for a rematch against Alex Martinez.

The event on August 19th will be captained by the two-time Olympic judo champion Kayla harrison. Undefeated in MMA with 10 wins, she faces New Zealander Genah Fabian in the main fight of the event, in the lightweight semifinals (up to 70,3 kg). In the other key, the Brazilian Larissa pacheco face Taylor Guardado.

The event also has the presence of another Brazilian. In the heavyweight tournament (up to 120,2 kg), Bruno Cappelozza seeks the thirteenth knockout victory in his career against Jamelle Jones. Whoever passes will face the winner of the duel between Denis Goltsov and Before Delija.

In the last event of August, on the 27th, it is the turn of the light heavyweights (up to 93 kg) and the featherweights (up to 65 kg). In light heavyweight, the Brazilian Antonio Shoe Guy faces Argentine Emiliano Sordi. In the other duel in the category, Cezar Mutant faces Martin Hamlet.

By feathers, the undefeated Movlid Khaybulaev faces Brendan Loughane in one bracket, while in the other Chris Wade e Bubba Jenkins measure forces.
