Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards trade barbs after UFC 263

Nigerian is not convinced by Edwards' performance, Englishman responds by criticizing competitors in the category

Even after coming away with the victory against Nate diaz No. UFC 263, last Saturday (12) in Glendale, Arizona (USA), Leon edwards still not convinced Kamaru Usman that it is good enough. In an interview with ESPN after the fight, the welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg.) said that the Englishman's performance didn't help him and that he didn't deserve the belt. Edwards responded at the press conference.

“I think I should be next in line for the title. Nobody else is doing what I'm doing. I volunteered to fight everyone: Khamzat (Chimaev), (Nate) Diaz, Belal Muhammad |. These guys are not in the top ten. I'm the only one who says, 'Yes.' Everyone is, like, sitting around and complaining. I feel like I deserve the next chance, for sure,” said the Englishman.

“All these guys make excuses, they know I'm the one who really deserves it. I'm the right man for the title shot. They are all making excuses. They say, 'He doesn't deserve this.' So who deserves it? (Colby) Not Covington. (Tyron) Woodley got hurt and now he deserves a title shot? I worked my way back to a nine-game (winning) streak. Who else deserves this?” continued Edward.

With last Saturday's triumph, Edwards added another positive number to his record, which now totals 19 wins and three losses. While Nate diaz, his opponent, now has a record of 21 wins and 13 losses in MMA.
