Executioner of Cerrone, Morono asks UFC not to fire veteran

Responsible for making the phase experienced by Donald Cerrone in Ultimate, alex morono showed humility when dealing with the veteran. Executioner'sCowboy' at the UFC Las Vegas 26, the North American lavished respect on the legend and suggested that Ultimate not fire the fighter. At the press conference after the show, the athlete spoke about the subject.

“(Let them do) at least one more. I hope he (Cerrone) receives the opportunity to choose his next challenges. (…) He had a grappling match with RDA (Rafael dos Anjos). (…) The fight against Niko (Price) wasn't a bad fight, it was competitive. Niko is a 'crazy', wild guy. The duel against (Anthony) Pettis, I think he won. (…) I think he deserves one more fight, if he wants to retire with victory,” said Morono.

With the new defeat, Donald became even more complicated within Ultimate. The new setback meant that the veteran with the most victories within the organization reached his sixth commitment without a triumph.

Former challenger for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg), Cerrone is considered one of the most charismatic athletes in the organization's history. Owner of satisfactory numbers in the company, the athlete recently admitted that he is in the final stretch of his career.

Donald's fate is still unknown. After the draw with Niko PriceIn 2020, Ultimate President Dana White said publicly that he would like the 'Cowboy' hang up the gloves.
