The first event of the 2021 Professional Fight League (PFL) season began with two surprises. Lightweight favorites, the Brazilian Natan schulte, two-time champion of the event, and Anthony Pettis, former owner of the UFC belt, debuted in the lightweight tournament with a defeat. Now, they will need to fight back to qualify for the playoffs

In the co-main fight of the show, Natan suffered from Marcin Held's speed and lost by the judges' decision. Pettis, on the other hand, felt the volume of blows from Clay Collard, was almost knocked out in the second round, and also lost in the decision.
