Nick Diaz's manager says his pupil has a 99,9% chance of returning to the UFC in 2021

Responsible for leading the 'bad-boy' career, Kevin Mubenga reveals that the fighter continues to prepare for his return, but still has no opponent in mind

One of the most popular fighters in UFC history, Nick Diaz is close to returning to the organization after more than five years. According to the athlete's manager, Kevin Mubenga, the 'bad boy' continues to prepare and could make his return in 2021. In an interview with 'Fanatics View', the agent spoke about the subject.

“It has a 99,9% chance. We have to get everything right with the organization. We will be able to move forward. He has trained a lot in the last few months. He took a break now. We don't want to overload, or be exhausted until we have a date. It was good to be able to go through the regime and do a small camp (training period for a fight),” said Mubenga.

Kevin, however, made it clear that Diaz will not return to the company just to join the cast. The businessman states that the athlete has goals, in addition to financial compensation.

“Let’s make sure the money is good and the opponent is right,” he concluded.

Currently 37 years old, Diaz has not performed since January 2015, when he exchanged forces against Anderson Silva, at UFC 183. The athlete, today, has 37 commitments in the sport, with 26 wins, nine losses and two fights without result.
