Less than a week from UFC Las Vegas 14, which takes place this Saturday (14), in the United States, Ultimate received a big blow for the main fight. One of the protagonists of the event, Islam makhachev is out of the show and leaves Rafael dos Anjos momentarily without an opponent. The organization will have to race against time to avoid losing RDA, who, upon hearing the news – released by 'ESPN' – made a point of suggesting a strong replacement. The reason for the Russian's absence was not clarified.

Although initially the UFC Las Vegas 14 would officially mark Rafael's return to the category in which he was a linear champion and enjoyed the best moment of his career, the athlete understands that Chandler, recently signed by Ultimate, would be a worthy opponent for a main fight. Known as one of the biggest names in Bellator history, Michael was recently an official reserve for the clash between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Justin gaethje, who competed for the lightweight title in the UFC 254.
If confirmed at this weekend's show, Dos Anjos, 36, will try to move away from the recent negative record. In their last five appearances, there were four defeats and one triumph.
The clash against Makhachev, in addition to marking a new beginning for the Brazilian, could elevate Rafael directly to the elite of the group led by Khabib. Islam, today, is 12th in the group.
