In the fight, Marreta started better and almost got knocked out in the first round, but Glover managed to recover, took the fight to the ground and finished the partial on top. The Minas Gerais native repeated the feat in the second round and dominated Thiago. In the third round, however, Marreta came close to victory when he knocked down Texieira. But his compatriot managed to reverse his position on the ground and finish with a beautiful rear naked choke.
