No animosity, pushing or insults. The first meeting between the champion Israel adesanya and the challenger Paulo borrachinha, in the week of the middleweight title fight, was, surprisingly, friendly and full of laughter on both sides. The rivals, who are doing the main fight of the UFC 253, got stuck in the hotel where they are staying, in Abu Dhabi, and left their rivalry aside.

In the casual meeting, filmed by Borrachinha's businessman, Wallid Ismail, the Brazilian athlete asked if his rival was fit for the fight. Adesanya responded that the Brazilian should be thin like him. But the Minas Gerais fighter replied that he was 'slender, never skinny'. At that moment, the two greeted each other, laughed and went on their way (see the video below).
Adesanya x Borrachinha
The fight between Israel adesanya e Paulo borrachinha, valid for the middleweight belt (up to 83.9 kg.), will be the main fight of the UFC 253, an event that takes place next Saturday (26), on Luta Island, in Abu Dhabi. Throughout the promotion for the fight, the fighters exchanged a lot of provocations. The Brazilian promised 'kill the rival', while the Nigerian retorted and also attacked Heavy-duty rubber.
