Wand forgets rematch against Belfort and asks for fight against Sonnen

The defeat to Rich Franklin in the main fight of UFC 147, an event held last Saturday (23), in Belo Horizonte, may have taken away the chance of Wanderlei Silva to have a rematch against your rival Vitor belfort. The information was confirmed by UFC president, Dana White, shortly after Wand's setback (remember here). But the “Crazy Dog”, as the Brazilian is known, has already chosen his opponent to return to the octagon: Chael Sonnen.

“Losing or winning Anderson Silva I face him (Chael Sonnen). I fight with anyone the event tells me to. But against him it would be with much more pleasure. My name is on the list, I’m there”, said Silva, in an interview with the Minas Gerais press.

The fight between Wand and Sonnen is heavily speculated by fans. The fighters already had an argument, when the Brazilian publicly caught Chael's attention. In Brazil we have a saying: those who respect don’t lose their teeth,” he said (watch the video and remember the case).

But before a possible fight against Wanderlei, Sonnen has another commitment scheduled. The North American faces Anderson Silva at UFC 148, on July 7, in Las Vegas, in a fight valid for the middleweight belt.
