Another Brazilian is scheduled for the Bellator 180 card, which will take place on June 24th, in New York (USA), at the legendary Madison Square Garden. The welterweight champion Douglas lima will put his belt and match against newcomer Lorenz Larkin, a former UFC fighter who recently signed with Scott Coker's organization.

Douglas regained the division belt by knocking out the Russian Andrei Koreshkov at Bellator 164, held on November 10, in Israel. In 2015, he had lost the title to Andrey himself, at Bellator 140. He then recovered by handily beating Englishman Paul Daley, in July 2016. In total, Lima has 28 positive results and six negative results as a professional.
Larkin, in turn, will make his Bellator debut. He appeared before the general public fighting as a middleweight in Strikeforce. When Ultimate bought its then rival, Larkin arrived at the UFC and, still in the middleweight division, lost four fights and won just one. When he moved down to welterweight, the numbers were reversed: the North American leaves Ultimate with four wins (Masvidal, Magny, Santiago Ponzinibbio and John Howard) and just one setback, against Albert Tumenov, another who recently left the franchise. The North American has a record of 18 wins, five defeats and one fight without result.
Bellator 180 will feature a duel between Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen in the main fight of the night, while Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Mitrione are the second most important attraction of the show.
