The UFC event scheduled for July 20th has just gained a boost. Brazilian strawweight highlights (up to 52,1 kg), Amanda ribas e Virna jandiroba they star in a crucial duel with an eye on a chance for the category belt. The announcement was initially made by the 'MMA Melotto' page on Twitter, this Tuesday (14).
Former challenger for the category belt, Amanda lemos recovered from the defeat to the champion Weili Zhang with a unanimous decision victory over Mackenzie dern in February this year, in UFC 298. Currently, Pará occupies third place in the ranking.

Owner of fifth position in the ranking, Virna jandiroba carries a winning streak that lasts three fights. 'Carcará's last defeat happened in 2021, against Amanda ribas. From then on, the Bahian woman lined up Angela Hill, Marina Rodriguez and most recently Lupita Godinez, at UFC Atlantic City, in March.
The winner of the duel between Amanda lemos e Virna jandiroba should take an important step towards a title fight against the champion Weili Zhang, who defended the belt in UFC 300 against compatriot yan xiaonan.
In addition to Amanda and Virna, the UFC event scheduled for July 20th has another Brazilian confirmed. At bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg), Luana Dread faces the Czech Lucie Pudilova.
