There was excitement in the Brazilian clash that took place on the preliminary card of the UFC 300. Former strawweight champion (up to 52,1kg.), Jessica Andrade, Bate-Estaca' had a balanced clash with Marina Rodriguez on the historic card held in Las Vegas (USA). After three rounds, the woman from Paraná was declared the winner in a split decision by the judges.
In addition to recording the second consecutive victory, Bate-Estaca has more to celebrate. The victory against her compatriot guarantees the native of Paraná in the top 5 of the category and brings the athlete closer to competing for a new belt.

The fight started with Rodriguez throwing straight shots and long-range kicks. Bate-Estaca had difficulty getting closer to the opponent and received attacks launched by the rival. Marina fought strategically and avoided entering Jéssica's range of action. Halfway through the round, Rodriguez threw a front kick, but ended up losing his balance. Jéssica tried to corner her opponent, but Marina showed danger in the counterattack. With three minutes gone, Marina placed a standing hand triangle on her opponent and was looking for the submission. Jéssica tried hard and managed to free herself from her opponent. Almost at the end of the confrontation, the fighters began to exchange blows in the center of the Octagon. In the final seconds, Marina threw a low kick and fell. The gaúcha got up, but Bate-Estaca threw powerful blows, until the timer ran to zero.
