Historical protagonist UFC 300, Alex Poatán silenced the provocations of Jamahal hill with overwhelming performance. Inserted in the main fight of the event held this Saturday (13), in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian took no notice of his opponent and retained the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.) with a frightening knockout. With sharp hands, the champion needed just over three minutes to 'erase' his opponent.
The first Brazilian man to win two belts in different categories in Ultimate, Poatan has plenty of reasons to celebrate. The triumph against Hill represented the Brazilian's first title defense, who failed to achieve the feat in the old division.

In an interview still in the octagon, Alex reinforced the desire he declared in recent weeks. In a loud and clear tone, the athlete called for a fight in the UFC 301, which takes place on May 4th, in Rio de Janeiro.
The plan is not just to perform in front of your audience. The fighter suggested that the fight be fought at heavyweight (up to 120,2kg).
Butchered by Alex, Jamahal hill did not fulfill his promise to dethrone the athlete. The challenge against the São Paulo native marked the American's return to the Octagon after more than a season away due to injury.

The fight started with Poatan taking the initiative with a low kick. The Brazilian bet on kicks from the opponent's guard, who responded in kind. The confrontation was tense, with the athletes exchanging specific attacks in the center of the octagon. The challenger started to loosen up and mirrored the Brazilian's strategy. Poatan started throwing jabs at his opponent's body, who did not attack. The champion tried to confuse his opponent, alternating punches and kicks. With three minutes gone, Poatan connected with a clean cross to Jamahal's chin, who cleared it. Before the referee interrupted the confrontation, the Brazilian continued hitting his opponent, until the driver intervened.
