Ultimate is close to making the most anticipated heavyweight fight (120,2kg) official. According to Dana White himself, in an interview given to the North American website TMZ Sports, the organization plans to hold a rematch between Stipe Miocic, category champion, and Francis Ngannou, in March 2021. However, the company president did not provide further details regarding the specific date or location.
“This fight won’t be ready until March. The goal is to accomplish it. We’ll see what happens,” said Dana.

If the meeting is scheduled, Miocic, 38 years old, will seek to defend the category belt for the second time since he regained it. In his last fight, held in August 2020, the number one heavyweight defeated Daniel Cormier and closed the trilogy with the rival with two victories. It is worth remembering that, in his first reign, Miocic surpassed Ngannou and the triumph over the Cameroonian made him break the record for title defenses in the division.
In turn, Ngannou, 34 years old, is going through an excellent phase. The challenger comes from four consecutive victories by knockout in the first round over big names in the sport (Curtis blaydes, Cain Velazquez, Junior Gypsy e Jairzinho Rozenstruik), won the performance bonus in three of them and his combined time in these clashes is less than five minutes, that is, one round. 'The Predator' will fight for the category belt for the second time, again, against Miocic and wants to settle the score with the first athlete who defeated him in the UFC.
