“The fact that Khabib retired is very different. He is not just one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA, but the greatest fighter we have seen! He made no mistakes. Like Khabib, Cormier retired in 2020 and sent a loving message to his friend.

“Be happy and rest, my friend. I know we will continue to see each other and talk, but the rest of the world will miss you so much,” he concluded.
