“I would love to have the opportunity to fight for the belt in a tournament. McGregor, Poirier, me and Ferguson. There are some names that need to fight for the belt and we have to do something like that”, suggested Chandler.

If the idea is not approved, the Bellator icon modified his planning. Previously, Chandler mentioned Tony Ferguson as an ideal opponent, but changed his mind when he learned that Justin gaethje wants to return to acting in 2020.

“I'm excited to be part of the UFC's top lightweight division, even more so now, when there is no champion. We'll see what happens. I mentioned Ferguson's name and the UFC wanted to hold this fight in January, but now Gaethje wants to fight again in eight weeks. I'll be honest: I'm the new guy in the UFC. I'm not going to come and say that I have to fight for the belt, but I would love to see my name being considered”, he concluded.
