Dhiego Lima beats Court McGee on points and wins second consecutive victory in the UFC

Average weight (up to 83,9kg.) Dhiego Lima opened the UFC Lauderdale card with victory over the North American Court mcgee. At the end of three rounds, Dhiego was announced the winner by split decision from the judges.

The duel began with the athletes studying each other and moving in the center of the octagon. In the second round, the fighters returned looking for open exchanges. The Brazilian, who insisted on straight strikes and crosses, came close to hitting his opponent on several occasions and achieving a knockout. Little by little, Dhiego began to gain confidence and attack more efficiently. The opponent, however, looked dangerous in counterattacks, forcing Dhiego to keep his attention. At the end of the stage, the North American tried to shorten the distance to try to take down the Brazilian, who managed to move away and counterattack. In the final seconds, Dhiego tried his opponent's legs again to try to take the fight to the ground, but, again, without success.

Dhiego Lima entered the last round with the responsibility of maintaining the good performance of the previous ones. Throughout the fight, the Brazilian's left hand proved very efficient in hitting his opponent, which favored Lima in his scoring. Court, again, tried to shorten the distance looking for a possible takedown. But the Brazilian still kept an eye on the North American's plans. As the clock ticked down to the final two minutes, Dhiego unleashed another left bomb that exploded in McGee's face and drew screams from the crowd. In the final minute, Court tried again to take down the Brazilian, who defended well and managed to move away from his opponent. With just a few seconds remaining in the fight, Dhiego accepted a frank exchange with the North American and ended up falling after receiving a direct shot to the chin. However, there was no time for anything else.
