Sajad Gharibi, self-proclaimed 'Hulk of Iran' confirmed his debut in the world of MMA against a Brazilian fighter. The announcement was made on his Instagram account last Thursday (25). Despite the promotion, the athlete did not confirm the name of his opponent or the date of the clash.

At 1,85 m and 180 kg, at first glance, Sajad can be intimidating due to his large size and apparent physical strength. Although he is a 'giant', the 'Iranian Hulk' has never competed in a single MMA fight.
This will not be the first time that a fighter with the physical characteristics of a weightlifter has ventured into a career as a professional fighter.
In 2009, Polish Mariusz Pudzianowski, considered a legend for those who follow the 'Worlt's Strongest Man' competition, which has been taking place since 1977, made his MMA debut. The athlete, who won the strength competition five times, decided to abandon weightlifting and began testing his martial arts skills.
In total, Pudzianowski fought 14 times, winning on nine occasions, including one against the legendary Bob Sapp. The Pole also defeated Brazilian Rolles Gracie Jr., son of Rolls Gracie, by knockout in 2015.
