The UFC's return to Brazil is expected to suffer a slight delay. Initially scheduled for June 23, at the Engenhão Stadium, UFC 147 could have its date changed in a week. According to Veja Magazine’s “Radar On-line” column, the event, which will have as its main attraction the rematch between Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen, would only be held on June 30th.
The reason for changing the date is Rio +20 – United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development – which ends on the eve of UFC 147. And the Ultimate organizers fear several problems arising from the proximity of dates, such as lack of accommodation.
According to the column, the definition of the possible postponement should take place in the next few days.
The UFC's return to Brazil will be marked by great rematches. This change of date is absurd. And whoever bought the ticket in advance to guarantee the trip to Rio De Janeiro on the date of June 23rd, which had already been confirmed, what's that like!?
It's really absurd, I have two pre-bookings in hotels, one for the 23rd and the other for the 30th, but the problem will be the ticket, it needs to be determined urgently whether it will be postponed or not!!!
