When the fight resumed, the athletes went to exchange blows and, again, Pepey connected a knee to the opponent's genitals. The fight stopped for Galeto's recovery, but unlike what he had threatened, Yamazaki did not discount Godofredo's point. A fact that greatly irritated the team. The fight returned and the athletes continued to study each other, without landing any hard blows. But in the final 10 seconds, the fighters went all out on the attack, looking to impress the judges, and provided a frank exchange, worthy of applause from team members.

At the end of the two rounds, the judges divided the victory to Geoffrey Pepey. The decision did not please the team Wanderlei Silva who said: “For me, Galeto won”, said the coach, who was supported by Rafael Cordeiro and other teachers from his squad.
